  • Have you ever wondered about the bizarre and unique science of water?
  • Course objectives:
    • Explore the science of water, including states of matter, the water cycle, animal life, soap and shampoo, water in the human body, and more
    • Explore engineering and technology related to water, such as water filtration, technology developed to clean the ocean, turning saltwater to freshwater, etc.
    • Use math to understand access to drinkable water
    • Use water and art to express yourself
  • Skills developed: Global awareness, Critical thinking, research, problem solving and innovation, creativity and design 
  • By the end of class: Students will use the engineering process to identify and solve a real-world problem related to water in our world. 
  • Materials needed: Water, containers to hold water, writing materials. coloring materials, soap, ice, coffee filters, watercolor paints, paper, scissors, tape, glue
  • About the class: Classes meet once a week for five weeks. Each class meeting will last 75 minutes.  Classes will have 1-6 students.
