  • Curious about the fundamentals of public speaking and their application in debate and other real-world situations?
  • Course objectives: 
    • Immerse students into speech and debate practices
    • Practice with improv speeches and interactive activities
    • Develop skills in presentation and the confidence they need to approach real-life public speaking scenarios
    • Learn the nuances of communication skills and their application in everyday life
  • Skills developed: Public speaking, research, collaboration, presentation, speech writing, debating.
  • By the end of the class: Your student will have the chance to showcase their strategic communication skills by participating in a series of speech and debate challenges.
  • Materials needed: Writing materials, paper, everyday objects from their room.
  • About the class: Classes meet once a week for five weeks. Each class meeting will last 75 minutes.  Classes will have 1-6 students.
